About Us

Company Founder/Owner: Joseph Stanley graduated Maine Maritime Academy in 2021 with a B.S. in Marine Engineering Operations. He has worked all over the world on several different types of ships. When he isn’t undercoating vehicles, he is in the Gulf Of Mexico on a offshore deepwater drilling rig. “I started 860 Undercoating because not everyone has the financial means to buy a new $40k-$60K vehicle when the car rusts away from underneath you.”

Operations Manager: Evan Stanley graduated the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 2023 with a B.S. in Marine Engineering. Like his brother, Joseph, he has also worked all over the world on several types of ships. When he isn’t undercoating vehicles, he is working on various ships as a Marine Engineer. “Growing up I saw how much damage road salt would do to my families vehicles, despite constantly washing them. Upon searching for a used vehicle, I found a car that was nearly 25 years old, which had been driven in road salt every single year. What kept it rust free was the owners annual FLUID FILM® application. My family and I immediately knew that every vehicle we would own from here on out would be undercoated with FLUID FILM® every single year.”

FAQs

  • Ideally once a year, right before snowfall. This allows your vehicle to be protected when salt is spread on the roads.

  • People tend to believe that after their vehicles underside has been exposed to the harsh conditions of winter, undercoating won’t provide any additional benefits for protection/increasing the vehicles lifespan. It is not too late to protect your vehicle for future seasons, which will increase it’s lifespan.

  • We are located in East Windsor, CT. However, we travel to you. After you book an appointment, we travel to where your vehicle is located with our supplies & crew. We complete the job where it’s most convenient for you!

  • We are willing to travel up to 100 miles to complete any job. If you are located more than 30 miles from us, there is a small additional up-charge for our travel. However, if you have a large fleet of vehicles that need undercoating, we will drop the additional travel fee.

  • Undercoating is defined differently by everyone. To us, undercoating is spraying the vehicles chassis with an oil based film to protect against road salt and moisture which will rust out your vehicle.
